Interesting location nearby Kulai, Mount Pulai Recreational Forest

" With waterfalls, pools and unique flora and fauna, it is the ideal recreational destination for famillies, company outings and for nature lovers as well as jungle trekkers."

This vast forest reserve is a unique flora and fauna sanctuary. With waterfalls and pools, it is a fine recreational destination for family picnics, company outings and even jungle trekking.

Located 45km to the north of Johor Bahru, this green haven is also a rewarding spot for adventure seekers. Trekking to the summit of Gunung Pulai, which stands about 700m above sea level, is an experience in itself. In addition, there are rappelling ropes about 40m for the brave to climb, low ropes, high ropes as well as flying fox obstacle ropes. Although few and far between, wild animals such as deers, monkeys, and wild birds can be seen at the park.

Getting there
To get here, head to Pontian town. The entry to the park is along Johor Bharu - Pontian trunk road. Upon reaching Pekan Nenas, which is about 35 km from Johor Bharu city centre, turn right and head for the base of the mountain.
